Eliza Jean Scott is an interdisciplinary theatre-maker, writer, performer, choreographer, and sound artist whose work merges live sound, movement, text, and improvisation to create innovative, multi-sensory performance. Their practice explores identity, perception, sensation, and the relational dynamics between performers and audiences, moving fluidly between original creation, collaborative devising, and professional performance across theatre, dance, and film.

Eliza relocated to London from Sydney in 2024 to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), a move that deepened their cross-artform methodology and expanded their international practice. Their work is grounded in embodied research, choreographic discovery, and live sonic experimentation, with a strong commitment to collaborative, artist-led production models and processes that centre play, improvisation, and creative autonomy.

In 2025, Eliza premiered several new works in the UK: this offers no solutions at the Almeida Theatre as part of the Kaleidoscope Festival;i’ve heard this one before at Chisenhale Dance Space; nomenclature for Emergency Chorus’ Recycled Works Plant; and performed as a dancer–deviser in The Darndest Things for Resolution Festival at The Place. They look forward to premiering their new work pyro as part of Resolution Festival in 2026.

They are a core member of the Kill Your Darlings Collective and an Activator at Chisenhale Dance Space, participating in community-led research labs, experimental performance platforms, and shared peer development structures.

Their recent Australian work includes co-directing, devising, composing, and performing in Lost Boys at the Seymour Centre (2023), co-creating and performing in Eugene with Force Majeure (2022), performer–composer for The Tenant of Wildfell Hall (Sydney Theatre Company, 2022) and writer–performer of Young & Gorgeous (Brand X, 2021). Eliza’s one-person show POLLON (KXT, 2021)- which they wrote, composed, and performed - received a Sydney Theatre Award nomination. They have worked as a devising artist with Belvoir St Theatre (AUS), Gecko Theatre (UK), Griffin Theatre (AUS), Force Majeure (AUS) and The Last Great Hunt (AUS).

Eliza was the recipient of the 2023/2024 Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship, the Ian Potter Cultural Trust Fellowship (2023), and was shortlisted for the Griffin Incubator Fellowship (2021).
